Alex's Red Barn Winery

Alex's Red Barn Winery vineyards were established by land developers in the 1960's to demonstrate the Temecula Valley area's wine grape growing capability to potential land purchasers. The twenty five acre estate vineyard is farmed by the Yakut family. Superb wines are handcrafted in this small winery nestled in the rolling hills in the enchanted Yakut Estate Vineyards. The vineyard is located in the prestigious Temecula Valley wine country, approximately twenty miles from the Pacific Coast and situated at an elevation of 1400 feet above sea level. Alex's Red Barn Winery. Their grapes are handcrafted to perfection in the vineyard. They follow the adage that good wines are made in the vineyard. They keep close control on the grapes from bud-break to harvest. Alex's Red Barn Winery tries to be as organic as possible in pest management. Our award winning wines include a dry Riesling, a prime Viognier, a savory and spicy Sauvignon Blanc as well as two red wines: a Bordeaux style Cabernet Sauvignon and a robust Syrah in addition to our signature wine, a wonderful Cream Sherry which is "candy in a glass".

Wine Tastings at Alex's Red Barn Winery

Alex's Red Barn Winery wines are available at the winery only in the tasting room and online. They don't sell to retail. Alex and his wife both run the place giving this small mom-and-pop winery a real sense of splendor. They are available to answer questions and help suggest the wines that might be enjoyed the most by each individual guest! The tasting also includes an elegant Alex's Red Barn Winery wine glass to keep as a souvenir. Thet are open Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays and have a tasting charge of $10.00 for all their seven old vine premium wines. Alex's Red Barn Winery invites you to come and savor the flavor of rare vintage wines produced from our "old-vine" noble grapes. Alex's Red Barn is off the beaten path. To find it, you have to drive off the main road, it's right across from Longshadow Winery.
